I Loved this book. It started out very tense and sad, with the heroine always anxious and running away but finally accepting her fate to face the past. The hero wasn't too bad, slightly brooding because of his upbringing, but willing to decide for himself whether or not his prisoner is guilty or not. The sudden change of heart 3/4 of the way through the book was a bit abrupt, but it was a nice change of pace. All in all, I liked it alot and ordered some more of Ms. O'Banyon's books.
