Surprisingly, every culture has had possession and exorcism (a rite to release a person from possession). Then, this eBook recounts possession and exorcism by various cultures, including Native American tribes. The Christian faith spent much time setting down rituals and rites to exorcise possession. The Bible, particularly the New Testament, often refers to possession and exorcism.

The next sections are on Medieval dance plagues and witchcraft in Massachusetts. These activities were devastating to the population and caused many deaths. They are still spoken of, and scientists try to evaluate why they happened. Generally, witchcraft is thought to have been mass hysteria.

I didn't find this particularly informative (other than facts I already knew).
