Cute cozy. A lighthouse in the mountains? That's the Inn that Alex runs... one of his ancestors fell in love with a lighthouse and built one when he got back home. Too bad the inn is being plagued by problems, including a dead body in the lighthouse.

Most new books in a series can be a bit difficult to get all the characters and plot lines in place. This was easier than most I have read, I felt like I really cared what happened to the main character, and it was quite full of action. Great, quick read!

I actually got this book for my meme who is an avid reader and loves lighthouses...she finished it in a day and sent it back to me. I LOVED IT!! It was so addictive, I HAD to finish it by the second night! I ordered her two more...good thing one of them went to her house and one came here!! :)

Charming and cozy, yet keeps you thinking as you try to figure out whodunit. I liked the setting and the characters, and it was a nice change to follow a flirtatious romance from the man's point of view. A great read!

Alex Winston is desperately trying to hold on to the family lighthouse named Hatteras West which is interestingly located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Not your typical location for a lighthouse, but one that attracts a wide variety of people. That is until one guest is found dead at the top of the lighthouse with an ice pick in the back and another looks to have been pushed off of Bear Rocks. It is now up to Alex to find the killer, keep the boiler running on the old Inn and have the beds made before the next guest checks in. Just your typical day as an Innkeeper.

Fun start to the lighthouse series by Tim Meyers. Look forward to seeing the unique characters again that make up the background in this book. Amazon Review: http://tinyurl.com/2s2533

"Alex, we've got a problem."

This book is written by the prolific author, Tim Myers, who also writes under several pseudonyms. The story is set in Elkton Falls, NC where a replica of the Hatteras Lighthouse was built by main character Alex Winston's great grandfather. Alex inherits the lighthouse from his father and attempts to keep it running as the bed and breakfast it has become despite its aging amenities and reduction of guests. Reg Wellington has been coming to the inn since Alex was a child. When his body is found at the top of the lighthouse Alex assumes he had a heart attack. Sheriff Calvin Armstrong discovers that the death is indeed murder and so begins Alex's need to find the killer.

This book is a quick read that seems to give more information about the lighthouse and surrounding property than the characters. I did enjoy reading it for its information about my home state although I have a hard time picturing exactly where in the mountains it is suppose to be. I much prefer the author's books written as Jessica Beck and recommend them. I am not sure that I will revisit Elkton Falls.

Another enjoyable series from Tim Myers, clean, fun, cozy with nice characters. Didn't figure it out until nearly the end. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
