Here's a book that got raves on Amazon, so I requested it here on Paperbackswap. My goodness, I'm so glad I spent no money on it. It's got a Caribbean "pirate" romance theme, which I usually like, but frankly I found this a little draggy. The hero doesn't enjoy being a pirate; it turns out he's only one because he was cast away from his true heritage by the nefarious doings of the heroine's brother (the villian of the piece - he's also trying to arrange the heroine's marriage to a rotten aristocrat). I didn't find the heroine very interesting -she needed help of the men in her life way too often. With such a gloomy hero, draggy plot, insipid heroine, and basically G-rated romance consisting of passionate kisses, this wasn't very good.
