This was a very unsatisfying 'life and legacy' of Confucius. I didn't think that the prose flowed; it seemed to be a choppy, patchwork of the history of early China, Confucius's life, and then "the five classics" and "four books." I got very little out of this book. The collection of maps, photos, and images, saved this from zero stars.
