Excellent audiobook with a good narrator.

Set in Waterton/Glacier Peace park in Montana, this audio is rich in suspense, adventure, and nature.

More graphic than a cozy, Nevada Barr is among my favorite authors with her vast knowledge of nature and our national parks.

Great listening!

I'm usually so-so about Nevada Barr's Anna Pigeon books--I'll read one every year or two, just to see how they're going. This one was good, but not as good as some of the others. (Blind Descent is my favorite.)

I felt that this one dragged things out many (many!) pages beyond what was necessary to tell the story. Nevertheless, it was a clever mystery and I did care about the characters and enjoyed the unraveling of the clues and eventual solution to the mystery.

I visited the Canadian Waterton Lakes National Park--the continuation of Glacier National Park across the border in Canada--a year or two ago, and it is a breathtakingly beautiful place. The book didn't really deliver the look and feel of this marvelous place, but it was still fun.

If you like any of the Barr books, you'll like this one.
