This true crime-type of book about Elizabeth Short covers her abbreviated life and the long journey to find her killer. They are no closer today than when she was murdered in early 1947. Most of the book is the evaluation of possible killer theories and the reasons they were released (or never held).I agree with the author that Short's murderer would probably have been found with today's police detection arsenal of tools.
