For this Viet Nam veteran, this book fully explained why we lost a war we should never have been fighting in the first place. It took only one day for me to be 'in-country' to understand that we didn't belong there. As a result, my main mission there was to ensure that I and my men got home in one piece.

If you are not interested in the year-by-year history of the war and the deceits practiced on us by our 'leaders', then read just the three short chapters in Book Three: Enabling Ignorance, The Warriors, and The American Lullaby.

Just these three chapters will open to eyes to what we did wrong.
