To my mind, the strength of this book is that Charles Rivers lays out Baba Vanga's life and prophecies and allows the reader to determine how much credence to give the story. Blinded since childhood, Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova (generally known as Baba Vanga) was a Bulgarian mystic and herbalist. It was stunning to read how many world leaders came to her door.

This woman led a quiet life until the age of twelve, when she lost her eyesight and became clairvoyant. She lived a difficult life. By the end of her life, Baba Vanga was called the 'Balkan Nostradamus.' This is a different kind of story that I enjoyed reading.
